Arrival in Paro
Arrive at Paro International Airport (≈2,200 m), meet your guide for a traditional khadar welcome, and transfer privately to the hotel. After checking in and a short rest, take a gentle orientation stroll through Paro town — handicraft shops, cafés, and the riverside — followed by a briefing on the itinerary, permits, etiquette, currency and local SIM tips. Hike to Tiger's Nest (Taktsang)
An early start for the drive to the Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) trailhead, then a 4–6 hour round-trip hike with roughly 600 m of elevation gain, pausing at the mid-way cafeteria viewpoint. Visit the monastery with quiet conduct, then descend for lunch in Paro or an optional farmhouse meal, with the evening at leisure. Overnight: Hotel in Paro.

Paro → Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu (about 1–1.5 hours) and check in, then visit the Buddha Dordenma, the Memorial Chorten, the School of Traditional Arts (Zorig Chusum), Simply Bhutan or the Royal Textile Academy, and the Centenary Farmers' Market. Thimphu → Gangtey
Scenic drive of about 4.5–6 hours via Dochula and Wangdue, over Lawa La (~3,360 m), into the glacial bowl of Phobjikha. Explore the 17th-century hilltop Gangtey Monastery and its valley views, with an optional easy Gangtey Nature Trail walk (black-necked cranes visible October–February). Overnight: Gangtey.

Gangtey → Bumthang
Mountain transfer of about 7–9 hours via Pele La Pass (~3,420 m) and Trongsa, with en-route stops time permitting at Chendebji Chorten and Trongsa Dzong. Cross Yotong La (~3,425 m) before descending into the Bumthang valley for the evening. Overnight: Bumthang.
